The Transient's Glass

My biggest problem was the lips of Jackalynn Stirling were pressed against mine. It wasn’t that my job changed from Glass mechanic to police investigator to wanted criminal in the time it takes to transit to Mars by Glass. It certainly wasn’t that I held in my possession the only evidence of two Glass failures in forty years that could implicate several branches of the government. And it wasn’t that those failures leveled a city block, killed the presidential heir to one branch or that all these events seemed intertwined into a government conspiracy.

No, the real problem was the beautiful Augmentor, the bane of humanity that didn’t exist except in history, was kissing me. How was I going to explain this to Allison, my wife? Of course, that would require me to find her first since she went missing when this all started. And therein lies the problem, the woman kissing me was the only person in the Solar System who could help me find my love, my Allie.

Allen L Griffy

I grew up in AZ and currently live in Colorado. I can’t ask for a better place to live right now. I love being outdoors, spending time with the family, biking, all of the biking, and of course writing.

There is a certain appeal to writing fiction as I tease out possibilities, ideas, and concepts just shy of the current reality. And I enjoy throwing my characters into unique and often uncomfortable situations. Those situations build character in real life, and it seems to have worked well for my fictional characters. I’d love to hear your encouraging thoughts.

As of late, I’ve developed a passion for helping others tell their stories (fiction and non-fiction). I believe everyone has a story to tell, and sometimes you need help writing it. If you’re interested in having a talented team help you ghostwrite or tell your story, check out my new venture at Modern Quill by clicking the link below.

Thanks again for checking out my site and my writing.

Sincerely,

Allen L Griffy
